Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’m a certified Sleep Consultant. I have a background as an Anaesthesia Associate at PostGraduate level (a very different kind of sleep!) and worked within the NHS and Healthcare Industry for my entire working career. Helping and caring for other people is what I do best. I’m married and a mum to Joshua.
Before I had my baby, I read various articles and social media posts that led me to believe having a child meant sleep was no longer an option. People told me I had to accept I was just going to be sleep deprived.
After months of multiple wake ups along with difficult and short naps I was exhausted. I began to start really struggling with my mental health. How could I be the parent I wanted to be, on such little sleep?
Having searched the internet and found an overwhelming amount of different approaches to help my baby to sleep, I tried everything but nothing worked. Even if there was some improvement it was usually short lived and inconsistent. Knowing I could not sustain this, I reached out for some help, and contacted a Sleep Consultant who guided me through the process.
I was skeptical it would work but within just a few days my baby learned the skills he needed to sleep through the night consistently and nap well. This was life changing for our family. My baby was less grouchy, his development improved and he was like a new and much happier child! As a parent I was able to function again and be a better mum to my baby.
Knowing all the health benefits of a good nights sleep and just what an impact it has, it’s now my mission to help as many tired parents as I can to achieve the same!
